Directions

Dear participants of our QM2 retreat,

please notice the travel details for our QM2-retreat on 1st October. We will meet at Cologne central station, platform 4 at 8:30 latest. Our train will start from Cologne at 08:38 AM. We will arrive at Bad Hönningen about 09:39 AM. From the railway station we have to walk a few steps to the Rhine river. There we will take a special foot ferry to Bad Breisig, will land on the bank just in front of our accomodation. The ferry will go twice, because we are so many people.

Individual travel: check the website of the hotel, http://www.breisig.de/rheinhotel-vier-jahreszeiten-bad-breisig Note that for individual travel by public transport it is better to use directly the train station in Bad Breisig (instead of Bad Hönningen to avoid the ferry):

For checking in:   We would like to ask students and postdocs to share rooms. This will be organized during the check in.

Please have a look with whom you would like to share your room in advance!

Tickets: Many of us already have a ticket valid for all VRS lines. Otherwise you have to buy a VRS ticket "5" which you can also use to come to the train station.
